Global Developmental Delay Awareness Program & World Asthma Day 2026

The GDD Awareness Program and World Asthma Day 2026 celebration was successfully conducted on 05 May 2026 at the MMCIAHS Multipurpose Hall to raise awareness about Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and pediatric asthma. The program began at 9:15 AM with an invocation by first-year students, followed by the inaugural session at 9:30 AM led by Dr. Jyothi Thomas. Felicitations were delivered by Dr.(Prof.) Jazeel N. M, Prof. Silsila V, Mr. Kamal P. T, and Dr(Prof.)Nithya.

Academic sessions started at 11:00 AM and included talks on developmental red flags in children by Dr. Kavitha, early identification of GDD by Ms. Aysha P, intervention and support for GDD by Mr. Jazeel N. M, and pediatric asthma management by Mr. Jasim Junaid N. P. Prize distribution followed each session.

Post-lunch activities included an E-poster presentation competition on “Advanced Evidence-Based Intervention for GDD” and a quiz competition coordinated by Ms. Anusree. The program concluded at 4:00 PM with active participation from students and faculty, successfully promoting awareness, academic engagement, and evidence-based learning.
